What a Walk on the Perito Moreno Glacier Costs

Perito Moreno glacier trek prices: the Mini-Trek, Minitrekking 2 and Big Ice on GetYourGuide and Viator, with and without transfer, Hielo y Aventura's peso rates and the park fee.

Updated November 2026

The cheapest way onto the Perito Moreno glacier on GetYourGuide is Hielo y Aventura’s own Mini-Trek, from US$346 a person (checked November 2026): that buys the 4.5-hour walk from the port with no transport. With a hotel pickup in El Calafate it cost US$412 on the January and March 2027 dates we read. Patagonia Dreams’ Mini-Trek day with a hotel pickup starts at US$424, Howlanders’ Minitrekking 2 at US$370 and Hielo y Aventura’s Big Ice at US$459 (checked November 2026). On top of every one comes the park entrance, ARS 50,000 at the general rate.

Powerd by GetYourGuide

The calendar is the Mini-Trek. Its first option is the walk from the port at 10:00 AM; the second, the 10-hour day with a hotel pickup from 8:30 AM, was not on sale on 25 or 30 November 2026 and cost US$412 on 20 January and 27 March 2027.

Prices from the listings (GetYourGuide checked November 2026); the option prices are our readings of the booking calendars for one adult on 20 January and 27 March 2027 (Big Ice: 27 March). Operators price by date and season.

Two things stand out. Patagonia Dreams’ day costs more without its transfer than with it; that option also asks you to collect a boat voucher at its El Calafate office the day before. And Hielo y Aventura’s Big Ice cost the same with or without transport on the one date we could read both.

On Viator the same walks start higher. All Patagonia’s Minitrekking day with hotel pickup is from US$495 a person in its one option; Howlanders’ Minitrekking is from US$375 for the tour without transfers; Gray Line Argentina’s Big Ice is from US$600 without transfers (checked November 2026).

Hielo y Aventura’s own rates

Hielo y Aventura sells its walks on its own site in Argentine pesos. Its rates page for the 2026/27 season, with rates in force from 1 November 2026, gives these prices per adult (hieloyaventura.com, read November 2026):

WalkPer adultWith its optional transfer
MinitrekkingARS 420,000ARS 500,000
Minitrekking2ARS 420,000ARS 500,000
Big IceARS 550,000ARS 630,000

The transfer adds ARS 80,000 a person, and the park entrance is in none of them. The page also says prices and dates may change without notice. Its own cancellation terms are stricter than GetYourGuide’s: free cancellation only for certified force majeure, otherwise a 10 percent penalty. On GetYourGuide every walk in the first table can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before.

We do not convert the peso prices: the rate you get depends on the day and on how you pay.

The park entrance

Every walk here leaves out the park ticket. The Administración de Parques Nacionales charges a general rate of ARS 50,000 a day for Los Glaciares from 1 June 2026; the rate for Argentine ID holders is ARS 25,000 (APN tariffs, read November 2026). The APN prints no line for foreign visitors as such; on our reading of its categories, anyone without an Argentine ID pays the general rate. At the Perito Moreno gate you can pay by card or in cash in pesos, or buy online beforehand.

What reviewers say about the price

Price is a common complaint in the low reviews. Of the Mini-Trek’s reviews, one of the two low ones (25 July 2026) calls the price very high for what it is. Of Patagonia Dreams’ 350 newest reviews, at least four at three stars or below say much the same, and one (19 August 2025) says nobody mentioned that there was no transfer from the hotel, and that the park tickets were not included either. Read the option line on the calendar before you pay.
